Rabbi Hyman Judah Schachtel Symposium
 

The Rabbi Hyman Judah Schachtel Symposium was established by the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Religion and Health at the Texas Medical Center.  It is an annual event featuring an outstanding thinker whose interests lie in the Jewish contributions to human issues and moral values.  Rabbi Schachtel played an effective role in opening serious conversations and promoting good relations between Christians and Jews throughout the city.
